Sign in with Google or Microsoft
Using your work Google or Microsoft Account is the simplest and most secure way to sign in to Soil Link.
Most organisations use Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace. If you have an account with either of these providers that uses your work email address, we highly recommend using it to sign in to Nexus ReGen.
To do so, simply click Google or Microsoft buttons on the sign in or sign up page:

No - we only read your name and email address from your account to prove you are the owner of your work email address.

Using your work Google or Microsoft account usually doesn't require any special setup or approval from your organisation's IT department. This is because the Nexus ReGen system does not request any access to your organisation's data; we only read the name email address from your account.
If your organisation has strict policies on what apps you can use to sign in to with your work account, you may see an error message or block page when attempting to sign in. If this is the case, please get in touch with us so that we can reach out to your IT department.
How does signing in with Google or Microsoft work?
How does signing in with Google or Microsoft work?
When you sign in with Google or Microsoft, your browser redirects you to Google or Microsoft to sign in securely. Once you've signed in, your browser redirects back to soil link a special token that proves your identity. This is often referred to as 'Social Sign In'. We read the name and email address associated with the account you signed into. This method of proving your identity avoids the need to receive verification codes to your email or phone; providing a seamless sign-in experience.

What if I have both a personal and work Microsoft or Google Account?
It's very common to have both a personal and work account which you may be signed into simultaneously; which can become confusing!
Don't worry - Nexus ReGen's login system is specifically configured to always ask which account you would like to use to sign in.
When you click the Google or Microsoft button on the sign in page, you'll be shown a list of accounts you're signed into. Simply select your work account.

Here's some common problems and solutions:
I'm not receiving a verification code via email.
I'm not receiving a verification code via email.
Verification codes sent by email are usually delivered instantly, but can take up to 2 minutes to arrive in your inbox. If you're not receiving a verification code within 2 minutes, try the following:
Check your spam folder
Please let us know if your verification code went to spam - this shouldn't happen!
Try signing in with phone SMS verification.
If you provided your phone number when creating your account, click the 'use phone' button on the sign in page and enter your mobile phone number to receive a code. This is usually instant and reliable.

Check that you're using the same email address used when you created your account. This will usually be your work email address.
