IT Setup Guide: Domain and Email Whitelisting for Nexus ReGen

Technical guidance for organisation's IT admin to help ensure smooth adoption of Nexus ReGen for users.

Updated over 2 months ago

Overview

Nexus ReGen is an AI-powered Materials Exchange Platform (MEP) and Materials Resource Planning (MRP) solution that helps construction companies manage, move, and trade soil and aggregate materials intelligently and sustainably. Our platform provides a digital marketplace for construction material exchange and offers comprehensive material resource planning capabilities.

To ensure your organisation can fully utilise the Nexus ReGen platform, certain technical configurations may be required in your IT environment. This guide outlines the necessary domain whitelisting and security configurations.

Domain Whitelisting for HTTPS Traffic

Recommended Approach: Wildcard Whitelisting

To ensure uninterrupted access to all NexusReGen services, we recommend whitelisting the following root domains and all their subdomains:

- nexusregen.com (and *.nexusregen.com)
- regen.nexus (and *.regen.nexus)

- soil-link.co.uk (and *.soil-link.co.uk)

Alternative Approach: Specific Domain Whitelisting

If wildcard whitelisting is not possible under your security policies, the following specific domains are critical for platform operation:

- https://nexusregen.com – Main website

- https://app.nexusregen.com – Web application frontend

- https://accounts.nexusregen.com – User account management

- https://clerk.nexusregen.com – Authentication services

- https://sb.nexusregen.com – Backend services (HTTP and WebSocket)

- https://api.nexusregen.com – RESTful API services

- https://link.nexusregen.com – Notification email link shortening

- https://help.nexusregen.com – Customer support portal

- https://assets.nexusregen.com – Content delivery network (CDN)

Note: This list may be updated as our platform evolves. Wildcard subdomain whitelisting is preferred to avoid future configuration updates.

Email Whitelisting

To ensure reliable delivery of system notifications, please whitelist emails from the following domains:

- nexusregen.com

- nexusregen.ai

- soil-link.co.uk

Authentication Methods

Soil Link supports three secure login methods:

1. Microsoft Authentication

2. Google Authentication

3. Email verification code

Enterprise SSO Configuration

For organisations using Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, we recommend enabling SSO through these providers. This offers several benefits:

- Simplified user management

- Enhanced security through your existing identity provider

- Automatic user provisioning

- Multi-factor authentication support

If your organisation has strict OAuth or social sign-in policies, please ensure the following configurations:

For Microsoft 365 Administrators:

- Allow user consent for Nexus ReGen application

- Add Nexus ReGen to your organisation's approved app list

- Enable modern authentication for the relevant user groups

For Google Workspace Administrators:

- Allow users to sign in with Google for Nexus ReGen

- Add Nexus ReGen to your allowed apps list

- Enable third-party app access for relevant organisational units

Security Measures

Soil Link implements comprehensive security measures:

- All web traffic is encrypted using HTTPS with SSL certificates issued by Google Trust Service CA

- HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) is enabled on the soil.link domain

- Advanced Web Application Firewall (WAF) protection

- DDoS mitigation

- Industry standard security best practices

Additional Security Recommendations

While our platform automatically redirects HTTP to HTTPS, we recommend blocking all unencrypted HTTP traffic to our domains at your firewall level for additional security.
